Filippo Gori, who has been with the bank since 2000, will succeed Nicolas Aguzin as Asia Pacific chief executive officer.
The Wall Street bank announced the move in an internal memo on Thursday, «Reuters» reported. Filippo Gori's new appointment will see him take charge of J.P. Morgan's strategy and operations across 17 markets in the region, including its push into China.
Gori will hold the role concurrently with his current role as Hong Kong chief executive and head of Asia Pacific Banking, to which he was appointed more than a year ago, also to replace Nicolas Aguzin, who is now the CEO of the firm’s international private bank.
