The Dublin-headquartered fintech's new Asia head of sales will spearhead growth and execute Fenergo’s cloud strategy in the region.
Fenergo has appointed Gary Brookes as head of sales, Asia, as it aims to boost sales in Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong amid burgeoning demand for automated know your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance processes, the company said in an announcement.
Based in Singapore, Brookes will be responsible for growing and strengthening Fenergo’s partner ecosystem and establish its presence in capital markets while accelerating growth in commercial, business, retail and private banking.
The senior executive has more than 20 years of management and leadership experience with a focus on Asia Pacific and Japan for rapid growth technology companies. He previously fulfilled sales leadership roles at Datasite, eFront and Ansarada.
More Demand
According to Fenergo, financial institutions in APAC were fined $5.2 billion in 2020 – more than anywhere else in the world, and are under unprecedented pressure to satisfy regulatory requirements while meeting high customer expectations for a frictionless end-to-end client experience.
«The increasingly active regulatory environment, combined with the impact of the pandemic, has prompted high demand for client lifecycle management solutions among financial institutions in Asia Pacific,» Paul Kavanagh, Chief Revenue Officer, Fenergo, said in the announcement.
The company's clients include UBS, Credit Suisse, Westpac, Macquarie, Standard Chartered, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, NAB and more.
