The business advisory firm is growing its offering in the region with a senior appointment in Singapore.
Washington, D.C.-based FTI Consulting has hired expert in forensic investigations and regulatory compliance Rachel Layburn as a senior managing director at its Risk and Investigations practice in Singapore, the company announced on Wednesday.
In her new role, Layburn focuses on complex, multi-disciplinary investigations and advising on compliance programme-related services, including for domestic organisations in China and Singapore. Her appointment comes at a time when FTI looks towards growth in Asia.
Compliance Expert
Layburn has extensive experience working in various geographic locations in Asia and North America, advising numerous organisations with issues relating to global anti-corruption laws, antitrust laws, securities laws, accounting and book-keeping standards, business ethics requirements and other internal control rules, FTI said in the announcement.
Layburn was most recently group head of compliance at marketing and advertising firm WPP. She previously spent eight years at KPMG as a partner in its forensic services division in China, and three years as Deloitte's China head of AML and sanctions services, and was UBS' China head of client onboarding and AML compliance.
