Three senior hires will drive GBG’s growth and innovation capabilities across Asia Pacific, on the back of growth and momentum across the region.

U.K. headquartered fraud and compliance management, identity verification and location data intelligence firm GBG has appointed Bernardi Susastyo as general manager of Asia, Shekhar Bhagat as head of alliances of Asia Pacific (APAC) and Ng Han Liong as head of presales of Southeast Asia (SEA).

Susastyo previously held senior leadership positions at Advance.AI, Experian, and SAS, while Bhagat joins from Experian, where he was director of partnership for SEA. Ng is an experienced regional solution leader and compliance specialist, having spent the last 10 years in Oracle, Thomson Reuters, and IBM working with the financial services sector.

Strong Growth

GBG offers a range of solutions for organisations to validate and verify the identity and location of their customers.

In the past year, GBG recorded revenue growth of 12.1 percent, driven by accelerating demand for digital identity in the e-commerce, fintech and cryptocurrency sectors. The company also also acquired Hooyu Investigate and invested in Singapore based fraud detection business Credolab.

In addition to the three senior hires, GBG said it is recruiting more than 100 roles globally, out of which 42 percent will be in the APAC region, and will be increasing its technology footprint in Malaysia.
