Talent outflows continue at Credit Suisse, this time with its Philippines country manager reportedly leaving to join Ayala Corp.
Credit Suisse Philippines country manager Mark Robert Uy is leaving the bank to join Ayala Corp. in August., according to a «Bloomberg» report citing unnamed sources.
Uy has worked at Credit Suisse for nearly four years after first joining in 2019 as a director before being promoted to Philippines country manager in 2020. Previously, he worked at JPMorgan for close to 13 years, including nine years in Singapore.
M&A Role
Uy is believed to be joining Ayala to help with mergers and acquisitions. A spokesperson confirmed that Uy would join the firm in August and said his role will be disclosed in due course.
Founded in 1834, Ayala is the oldest conglomerate in the Philippines with diverse business interests across retail, education, real estate, banking, telecommunications, water infrastructure, renewable energy, electronics, information technology, automotive, healthcare, management and business process outsourcing.
