UBS global wealth chef Iqbal Khan is reportedly visiting Asia again this week to highlight one major point of focus for the region: net new money.
UBS global wealth management president Iqbal Khan is in Asia this week to visit both Hong Kong and Singapore, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing unnamed sources.
Khan hosted events in the two top Asia hubs for hundreds of UBS and Credit Suisse wealth staff. This marks his third visit to Asia in four months.
Net New Money
According to the report, Khan told bankers at both events to focus on three letters: «NNM», which is the acronym for net new money.
UBS is planning to retain a few hundred Credit Suisse bankers in APAC to reach a total of over 1,200. It has recently been naming senior leaders for the regional business, including the latest appointment of several ex-Credit Suisse bankers to top market roles in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and India.
