China Investment Corp is holding a forum in Hong Kong next month with reportedly over 600 participants, including top politicians, financial executives and regulators.
China Investment Corp (CIC) will run an investment forum at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Hong Kong from September 19 to 20, according to an «SCMP» report citing a program agenda. A gala dinner will be held on September 18 to welcome the delegates.
The event will be headlined by Zhou Xiaochuan, the former governor of the People’s Bank of China from 2012 to 2018. Other senior figures in finance that have been invited include Goldman Sachs ex-president John Thornton, CIC chairman and CEO Peng Chun, BlackRock vice chair Gary Shedlin, ex-World Bank president Jim Yong Kim and more.
The event will also feature political figures such as ex-German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder and ex-Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
