The Wealth Management Institute leverages Ray Dalio’s five decades of investing experience to bring finance professionals and investors an interactive online education program.
Singapore’s Wealth Management Institute (WMI) on Thursday launched the first-of-its-kind investment education program in collaboration with renowned investor Ray Dalio, according to statement.
Known as the Dalio Market Principles (DMP) Online Program, the initiative aims to help participants advance their investing skills and capabilities by providing them with knowledge of the forces driving markets and economies. The knowledge is built on the insights of Dalio – founder, CIO mentor and board member of New York-based Bridgewater Associates – and his five decades of investment experience and research developed over the years.
Changing World Order
WMI said the launch of the program is “timely” as it helps investors understand market cycles and how to navigate them effectively through a practical, market-tested framework against the backdrop of a “changing world order”.
«The world is changing in ways that we’ve not experienced in our lifetimes but have happened many times in the past,» said Dalio. «To deal with these changes well, investors need to recognize the deeper patterns of history and the underlying timeless and universal principles driving markets and economies. My hope for this course is that it provides this knowledge as well as an opportunity for investors to further refine their own investment principles.»
Foo Mee Har, WMI’s chief executive, said finance professionals and investors participating in the program will gain a strong understanding of the market forces driving markets, while enabling them to build investment portfolios leveraging different factors such as asset returns, economic and currency cycles, and paradigm shifts.
«Most importantly, this program is designed to fully equip those aspiring to establish successful careers in various sectors of the finance industry,» she added.
Flexible and Interactive
The DMP Online Program provides a flexible and highly interactive online learning experience such that participants will be able to access the program anytime, anywhere.
Participants will be able to ‘live through’ major market events as an investor or policymaker, assess how their expectations for the future and investment decisions measure up while learning from mistakes. The program also comes with a portfolio simulator to enable participants to create and stress test portfolios and evaluate their investment performance across different macro scenarios with data from 40 major economies transpired over the last 120 years.
AI Tutor
The program, with innovative generative AI tutors integrated into the course, will guide learners through the curriculum as well as answer questions, generate quizzes, obtain feedback, and allow participants to benefit from Dalio’s articles he penned over the years.
The DMP program is accredited by the Institute of Banking and Finance, and the course fee is subsidized up to 70 percent and can be claimed from SkillsFuture Credit.
