In collaboration with graduate business school INSEAD, Standard Chartered has completed its next generation program in Singapore for the children of its high net worth clients.

Standard Chartered has concluded its «Young Entrepreneur Program» (YEP) in Singapore, according to a statement. The next generation program is aimed at the children of clients within Priority Private, the bank’s high net worth segment.

In total, there were 53 participants of 13 nationalities from eight markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and the UAE.

INSEAD and SC Ventures

The four-day program was curated in collaboration with INSEAD (also known as the European Institute of Business Administration) as well as the bank’s fintech arm SC Ventures. It involved «embedding a human-centered design, translating client insights into venture ideas, to building a convincing business model and pitching to an experienced panel» from the bank and its two partner entities.

«Beyond tailoring solutions to meet our high-net-worth clients’ financial goals, we also provide clients with access to unique personal experiences while supporting the development of their next generation,» commented Ong Lay Choo, global head of affluent segment at Standard Chartered.

Global Experiences

According to the bank, YEP is part of its «Global Experiences», a broader program that offers a suite of experiences curated for high net worth clients within the Priority Private segment.

Key offerings include a signature annual «International Golf Series» held in the bank’s key markets, a «Global Concierge» program as well as a «Masters’ Series» featuring experts across a range of specialized and niche topics.
