Tan Su Shan 502

Tan Su Shan joined DBS in 2010 as head of wealth management after stints at Barings Securities in London as well as at Citigroup and Morgan Stanley, where she «stood her man» in male-dominated board rooms with her indisputable in-depth knowledge. She was promoted to head of both consumer banking and wealth management nearly five years ago, making her one of the most influential bankers in Southeast Asia.

The mother of two grown children and wife of social entrepreneur Christopher Wilson is not only an adept banker, but also an advocate for the cause of diversity in Singapore’s Financial Women’s Association and other groups. She escapes from the stress of work through yoga, swimming, and running, and attributes her family and friends with keeping her «grounded». She is also unafraid to show her funny side: she likes to discover new smartphone apps, where her avatar does karate chops in some animations.
