The 44-year-old investment banker Stephanie Hui is a lifetime Goldmanite. The head of private equity for Goldman Sachs in Asia spent the first three years after her Harvard undergraduate degree at the U.S. investment bank in New York and Hong Kong. A Hong Kong native, she returned to her alma mater for her MBA, but headed straight back to Goldman Sachs in 2000.

She made managing director six years later, the same year that she helped the bank clinch a landmark $2.58 billion stake in ICBC – Goldman Sachs exited seven years later at a four-fold return of its orginal investment. The mother of three made partner in 2010 and has overseen deals as diverse as iKang, a preventive healthcare firm, and drugmaker Shenzhen Hepalink.
