Elevated to run J.P. Morgan’s private bank in Asia last year, Kam Shing Kwang is alongside UBS’ Shih one of the region’s most prominent female private bankers. The Hong Kong native headed for Singapore on a scholarship at just 13 and never looked back. A love of math and a degree in economics led to a job as an auditor, then later stints as a portfolio manager with UOB and HSBC.
A mother of two, the long-time private banker told a jobs portal two years ago that raising her two daughters had made her a better manager – by celebrating differences.
