Billionaire appliance investor and U.K. second-richest, James Dyson, is hiring Singapore-based roles for his family office.
Dyon’s Weybourne Group is recruiting senior staff in Singapore, according to the family office’s website, for IT and finance roles including a treasury analyst who would deal with private banking counterparts including Lombard Odier, filings showed.
Weybourne was established in 2013 and houses a global staff of 55 before setting up its offices in Singapore. According to Bloomberg, Dyson has an estimated net worth of $13.8 billion.
The move is perhaps unsurprising given signs of anchoring in the city-state as evidenced by Dyson’s recent buying spree of luxury properties. Other renowned billionaires such as Alibaba’s Jack Ma and Facebook’s Eduardo Saverin have also made similar moves to secure top real estate in Singapore this year.
