Asset Manager Columbia Threadneedle Investments has announced two senior appointments to its Asian team to drive the group’s business growth in the region.
Jon Allen has been named Head of Institutional Sales, Asia Pacific, and Dennis Quah has joined as Head of Wholesale Distribution, South East Asia.
Allen, who is based in Singapore, has been pivotal in building the institutional business in the region over the last 6 years, according to a release on Friday sent to finews.asia.
Focus on South East Asia
His key responsibility is developing the firm’s institutional business, targeting sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies, government/quasi-government entities, corporates and charities.
Dennis Quah will focus on South East Asia with key priorities to support and grow the firm’s wholesale and white-labelling business in the market. He reports to Michael Langlois, Head of Wholesale Distribution, Asia Pacific.
Gathering More Assets
Quah was most recently Head of Distribution Sales Southeast Asia at Amundi Singapore, responsible for providing asset management solutions to third party distributors and white-labelling solutions in South East Asia.
«Despite the volatile and challenging market conditions, we continue to grow our business and made a number of hires throughout 2015 to support our growth. And we continue to gather new assets from large institutions,» said Raymundo Yu, Asia Pacific Chairman of Columbia Threadneedle.
