A long-time veteran of Credit Suisse has re-joined the bank from Standard Chartered, where he was most recently Global Head of Financial Market Sales.
According to a note sent to finews.asia from Credit Suisse, Carsten Stoehr (pictured left) has been installed as Managing Director, Head of Financing, Asia Pacific, reporting to Helman Sitohang.
Stoehr will be based in Hong Kong. Under his leadership, the Swiss bank aims to bring together existing capabilities in the Emerging Markets Financing Group, Equity Share Backed Lending, the Corporate Banking Group and Private Banking Structured Lending, to form one Asia Pacific Financing team.
UHNW and Entrepreneur Focus
This group will aim to provide a centralized structuring, risk management and syndication platform for strategic financing to the Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) Entrepreneur and Corporate client segments, and to support execution on UHNW Entrepreneur clients’ co-investment opportunities that fall outside the banks existing market trading activities.
In the new role Stoehr will work closely with the Asia Pacific business leads and risk and control areas to define a powerful and profitable client focused offering that is aligned to Credit Suisse’s strategy of being the Trusted Entrepreneurs’ Bank in Asia Pacific.
