Global investment firm KKR has announced that the Chief Operating Officer for Asia, will relocate to Sydney from Hong Kong by mid year.
From the beginning of July Scott Bookmyer will take on direct responsibility for KKR Australia while remaining COO of KKR Asia Pacific, in which he oversees core elements of KKR’s business operations and various strategic initiatives, according to a press release sent on Monday.
In 2002, Bookmyer (pictured left) joined KKR Capstone, a team of operating professionals dedicated to supporting KKR deal teams and portfolio companies. «Transferring Scott Bookmyer to Sydney will leverage his experience - both globally and in the Asia-Pacific region – to strengthen our franchise in a strategically important market. He will provide proven leadership across KKR’s varied and growing investment platforms in Australia, which include private equity, real estate, energy and resources and credit,» said Joseph Y. Bae, Member & Managing Partner of KKR Asia.
