Following its merger with Stamford Law Corporation in 2015, Morgan Lewis is continuing its expansion in Singapore with the appointment of a new corporate director and corporate associate.
Global law firm Morgan Lewis has announced the appointment of corporate lawyer Vanessa Ng (pictured left) as a partner of Morgan Lewis & Bockius and a director of Morgan Lewis Stamford, its Singapore office, the firm said in a statement on Thursday.
Ng, who practiced at Stamford Law Corporation as a senior associate earlier in her career, arrives from another Singapore law firm. She joins with corporate associate Ee Vin Wong.
«Vanessa has played a significant role in a large number of notable deals involving companies both within and outside of Singapore,» said firm chair Jami McKeon about the appointment.
Ng focuses on corporate finance, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions for listed and unlisted companies, takeovers, general offers, and other corporate transactions. She also advises clients on continuing listing obligations as well as other capital market transactions such as initial public offerings, placements, rights issues, and share buy-backs.
Expansion in Asia
Morgan Lewis works with more than 2,200 lawyers and specialists to provide legal services across industry sectors for multinational corporations to startups around the world.
Following the merger of Morgan Lewis with Stamford Law Corporation in 2015, the firm’s Asia practice has grown considerably, with the establishment of a Hong Kong office through an affiliation with Luk & Partners, and growth in its offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Tokyo.
In late 2018, the firm added corporate partner Karun Cariappa and bankruptcy and restructuring partner Guan Feng Chen to its Singapore office.
