UBP further bolsters its Hong Kong business with the hire for three new senior relationship managers.
The Swiss pure-play named Ula Ju and Mary Cheung as new senior relationship managers based in Hong Kong, according to a statement.
Ju was most recently a director at BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s Greater China team and had previously worked with the likes of Credit Suisse and KPMG with experience in private equity, structured rates, derivatives and UHNW client coverage.
Cheung joins from Credit Suisse where she was most recently a managing director and relationship manager in Hong Kong. She previously worked with BNP Paribas Wealth Management, J.P. Morgan, HSBC Private Bank and Citi Private Bank.
Hong Kong Growth
In mid-April this year, the bank also hired Flora Kam as a senior relationship manager who has experience in UHNW client coverage across Greater China. Kam previously worked with Credit Suisse, UBS and J.P. Morgan.
The trio of bankers announced is part of a wider ongoing expansion of UBP’s Hong Kong business with a focus on its front office. According to the bank, its Hong Kong office has increased the count of relationship managers by over 30 percent in the last two years with a focus on the Greater China client market.
“I am extremely pleased with the recent high-profile hires to grow our UHNW client and family office segment in this vibrant region,» said Eric Morin, UBP’s Hong Kong chief executive. «Not only have we been focusing on onboarding talents but also on strengthening our investment platform.»
