A former head of growth markets for Barclays’ private banking arm has rejoined the industry with Zurich-headquartered Habib Bank.
Salman Haider joins Habib Bank as its Dubai-based chief executive of global wealth management, according to his «LinkedIn» profile. This follows a brief stint with Barclays as its head of growth markets including Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia for less than two years.
Haider is a 20-year private banking veteran and was previously the Southeast Asia head of private wealth with J.P. Morgan. He also spent more than a decade with Citi in various senior roles covering wealth management and global markets.
Habib Bank was founded in 1941 by Habib Ismail of the «House of Habib», a Pakistani conglomerate with interests across automobiles, materials, finance and more.
