Singapore-based DBS continues to usher in leadership changes in a new era under incoming CEO Tan Su Shan.

DBS has appointed Singapore head of corporate banking Chen Ze Ling as head of corporate banking and SME banking, according to a statement, succeeding Koh Kar Siong who was recently named head of group audit. In the role, Chen will report to Han Kwee Juan, group head of institutional banking (IBG).

Chen has over 20 years of banking experience across geographies. He has been with DBS since 2008 where he has held several senior roles including, most recently, country head of DBS Australia. Prior to that, he held relationship coverage responsibilities for large institutional clients in the energy, power and utility sectors in Singapore and other Southeast Asian markets.

Group Head of Ops

In addition, the bank also appointed Welson Jamin, currently head of IBG operations and international centers technology & operations, as group head of operations. In the role, he will report to Derrick Goh, who will assume the role of group chief operating officer.

Jamin has 25 years of technology and operations experience with DBS. He has been instrumental in driving organizational transformation across 14 locations covering more than 2,000 operations professionals, leading the extensive use of workflows, the introduction of process improvements and the pioneering of generative artificial intelligence in operations.

Chen and Jamin’s new roles will come into effect on April 1.
