Barclays continues to expand in Asia with the latest hire of head of Asia special situations.
Barclays has named Mani Joseph as its head of Asia special situations, according to a statement, reporting to head of Asia credit trading James Roberts.
Based in Hong Kong, Joseph will be tasked with leading the build-out of the special situations franchise in Asia, developing and embedding the bank’s capability to source, underwrite, manage and distribute stressed and distressed risk locally.
Joseph joins Barclays from Goldman Sachs where he was most recently responsible for distressed trading and private financing in the markets division in Asia. Pervasively, he had also worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.
