She departs HKEX this week, after less than 20 months in the role.

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing's (HKEX) head of green and sustainable finance Grace Hui has vacated her position, leaving the bourse without a clear successor in place, according to a «Bloomberg» report on Wednesday, which cited people familiar with the matter who asked not to be named because the information isn't public.

Hui confirmed her departure to the publication but did not elaborate on her move. «Bloomberg» noted that the position is key to the exchange's push to boost its role in sustainable investments, and that filling the role could take some time as experts are few and far between.

Hui joined HKEX in 2013 and was previously COO of its listing division. Before that, she spent close to 11 years at UBS, leaving as chief of staff and global chief operating officer, MD legal and compliance.
