MSIG Insurance has appointed Andrew Taylor as senior vice president and head of financial lines for Singapore and Hong Kong.
Taylor, who will be based in Singapore, will report to Mack Eng, CEO of MSIG Singapore, and to Philip Kent, CEO of MSIG Hong Kong, general insurer MSIG said in a press release Tuesday.
He will be responsible for the insurer’s profitable growth of business in the region, including the growth markets, using established distribution channels, MSIG said.

«Financial lines is an increasingly important class of business in MSIG. With Andrew’s expertise, track record and leadership, we will be able to enhance our product offerings and create value for our clients in financial lines insurance,» Eng and Kent said in the statement. A new title was created for the role, the statement said.
MSIG said Taylor, who recently joined the company, has more than 20 years of international expertise in the general insurance industry, across London, Australia and Asia, where he has worked in the cyber-insurance space.
MSIG, a leading Japan insurer, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance and part of the MS&AD Insurance Group, which is an Asian general insurance brand, the statement said. The insurer has a presence in all Southeast Asian markets, and in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, China, Korea, India and Taiwan.
