Commerzbank has announced an internal promotion for the role of Asia head of syndicated finance.
Michael Kay has been named Asia head of syndicated finance, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, he reports regionally to Asia head of capital markets and advisory Jack Jiang and globally to global head of syndicated finance Reinhard Haas.
Kay started his financial career at Commerzbank in 2007 and has since held various senior positions in the corporate finance advisory unit. He has been part of the bank’s syndicated finance business in Asia since 2018.
The Frankfurt-headquartered lender’s syndicated finance business covers the arrangement, structuring, underwriting and distribution of syndicated loans while also offering cross-border event-driven financing for clients.
