DBS has announced the appointment of a longstanding banker as the president director of its Indonesia franchise.
Lim Chu Chong has been named president director of PT Bank DBS Indonesia (DBS Indonesia), according to a statement. Subject to regulatory approval, Lim will succeed Paulus Sutisna in the new role and also join the group management committee.
Lim is a longstanding DBS executive with over 25 years of experience, currently as the Singapore lender’s chief operating officer of institutional banking group (IBG). Previously, he was also the head of DBS IBG China and regional head of SME banking.
Sutisna was appointed president director of DBS Indonesia in 2015 and since oversaw its integration with ANZ’s consumer and wealth business as well as the launch of a digital bank in the country. In due course, Sutisna will be appointed as a non-independent commissioner of DBS Indonesia.
