A former executive from Natixis Investment Managers has been hired by New York-based Waterfall Asset Management to lead the Asia Pacific business through its first regional office in Hong Kong.
Waterfall Asset Management has hired Alistair Ho as a managing director and head of Asia Pacific, according to a statement, reporting to partner and head of international Patrick Lo. Ho will lead the region through the firm’s newly established office in Hong Kong.
Ho has more than 18 years of experience, most recently as the head of Natixis Investment Managers International Hong Kong, after leading the French asset manager’s APAC private debt unit. Previously, he also worked at Ostrum Asset Management, Mizuho, Credit Suisse and Citigroup.

Founded in 2005, Waterfall Asset Management has four offices globally including its headquarters in New York as well as London, Dublin and now Hong Kong.
The US alternatives manager focuses on investing in asset-backed credit and has $10.65 billion in assets under management, according to the statement, as of April 30 this year.
