HSBC has announced the appointment of an independent non-executive director to the board of its Hong Kong unit.
The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited appoints Long Yu to its board as an independent non-executive director, according to a statement.
Long has over 15 years of investment experience in technology, innovation, and startups across the region, particularly with Chinese entrepreneurs with global ambitions. She is the founding and managing partner of BAI Capital Fund I, L.P. and a group management committee member at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA. Long is also an independent director of Tapestry Inc., LexinFintech Holdings Ltd., Nio Inc. and Linmon Media Limited.
