Blackrock’s former sustainable investing head for the region shifts roles to lead the Southeast Asia wealth segment.

Blackrock appoints Geir Espeskog as head of wealth for Southeast Asia, according to a statement, effective early October. He is based in Singapore while succeeding and reporting to Guilherme Lima who was named head of wealth for the Asia Pacific region in October last year.

Espeskog has worked at Blackrock since 2010 and was most recently its co-head of sustainable investing (BSI) for APAC, building a 12-person team over 16 months in Japan, Australia, Greater China, and Southeast Asia. Previously, he also held various roles in the iShares ETF business in EMEA and APAC.

Fellow co-head Emily Woodland will assume full leadership of BSI for APAC and will work closely with Espeskog as part of the transition between the two this fall.
