Asset management giant BlackRock has announced the appointment of a South Korea head.
BlackRock has appointed Yoon Pyo Lee as managing director, head of South Korea, according to a statement, effective December 20. Based in Seoul, he will be responsible for developing and executing the firm's long-term business strategy in the country.
Lee has more than 25 years of experience in private and public market investment, as well as business development. He was most recently working at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as head of Korea. Prior to that, he also worked at Truston Asset Management, National Pension Service of Korea, Macquarie Group, Ernst & Young and KPMG.
