The pursuit of Terra’s Do Kwon has escalated with Interpol reportedly having issued a red notice to locate and arrest the fallen crypto entrepreneur.
Interpol has requested law enforcement worldwide to locate and arrest Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing a text message from South Korean prosecutors.
Meanwhile, South Korean authorities have also issued an arrest warrant for Kwon and five others earlier this month over alleged crimes including capital markets law violations.
Where is Do Kwon?
Kwon moved from South Korea to Singapore this year where his collapsed crypto firm was based but following a statement from local police last week that he was no longer in the city-state, his whereabouts have been unknown.
Kwon said on social media that he was not on the run – a claim that South Korean authorities refute – and previously also said he would be willing to cooperate in due time.
«For any government agency that has shown interest to communicate, we are in full cooperation and we don’t have anything to hide,» Kwon said. «We are in the process of defending ourselves in multiple jurisdictions — we have held ourselves to an extremely high bar of integrity, and look forward to clarifying the truth over the next few months.»
