Citi has hired a trio of corporate and investment bankers in Hong Kong from British lenders, Standard Chartered and HSBC.
Citi has announced the appointment of three new corporate and investment bankers in Hong Kong, according to a statement.
Ben Ngai rejoins the American lender as managing director and head of Hong Kong investment banking, reporting to APAC head of corporate finance and Hong Kong head of banking, capital markets and advisory (BCMA) Alex Schrantz.
Ngai has over 26 years of banking experience, most recently at Standard Chartered as a managing director in corporate, commercial and institutional banking. Previously, he also worked at Credit Suisse after first joining Citi in 2004.
Corporate Banking
Citi also hired Mimi Tse as director and head of corporate and public sector coverage, Hong Kong corporate banking, reporting to Hong Kong head of corporate banking Joy Cheng. Tse has over 15 years of client management experience, most recently at HSBC as a senior coverage banker and corporate banking team head.
Fellow ex-HSBC banker Kathy Cheung joins as a director in the Hong Kong corporate banking unit, reporting to Tse. Cheung was previously a director of corporate and leveraged acquisition finance credit at HSBC.
