A Blackrock veteran has been appointed as the US asset manager's new head of wealth for the Asia Pacific region.
James Raby has been named APAC head of wealth at Blackrock, according to a statement.
Raby, an Australian national, has 15 years of experience at Blackrock, including leadership roles across strategy, corporate development, finance and audit in London, San Francisco, New York and Hong Kong. He was most recently the US asset manager’s Hong Kong-based APAC chief financial officer. Previously, he also worked at Barclays and BGI, which was acquired by BlackRock in 2008.
«Our partnerships with wealth management, retail banking and private banking clients in the region have grown significantly over the last two years, powered by our sharp focus on whole portfolios to help their end clients achieve greater resilience,» said Blackrock chair and APAC head Rachel Lord.
