Investment research firm Morningstar has announced the appointment of a new director of manager research in the region.
Morningstar appoints Germaine Share as director of manager research, Asia, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, Share reports to Wing Chan, head of manager research, Europe and Asia Pacific.
In the newly created role, Share is responsible for overseeing active research and analyst teams in China and South Korea, in addition to her existing responsibilities leading the analyst teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. Share will also continue to oversee qualitative research and coverage on investment managers and funds based in Asia.
Share joined Morningstar in 2012 and was previously working as a project officer at Hong Kong venture capital firm Chinarise Capital, where she was responsible for business development of key client accounts and independent evaluation of client proposals.
