Real estate specialist Knight Frank has expanded its private office to Hong Kong and named the first Chinese Formula 1 driver in history to lead the unit.
Knight Frank expands its private office to Hong Kong, according to a statement, marking its fifth private office globally and the second one in Asia, alongside Singapore which is led by Nicholas Keong.
The private office will enable Knight Frank to further grow its private client base, particularly amongst ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices and their advisors in Hong Kong and mainland China.
«Through the private office, Knight Frank’s private clients benefit from one point of contact across both residential and commercial property markets, a high-quality service and a long-term, consistent relationship, wherever they are transacting on property globally,» the firm said.
Car Racing
The private office in Hong Kong will be led by Dutch-born Chinese and professional racing car driver Ho-Pin Tung who owns what the firm calls a «one-of-kind network».
Tung previously made history as the first Chinese racing car driver in Formula 1 and IndyCar while also winning multiple international championships. He is the co-founder and executive of Jackie Chan DC Racing.
«[Tung’s] appointment enables Knight Frank to cater fully to our clients’ needs in the region, advising private clients on all their real estate transactions, no matter where in the world they are taking place,» said head of the Knight Frank Private Office Paddy Dring.
