The wealth management arm of BNP Paribas has made a series of appointments of senior leaders based in Singapore, finews.asia has learned.
BNP Paribas Wealth Management appoints Garth Bregman as head of wealth management Singapore and Southeast Asia, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia. In the role, he reports to APAC CEO Arnaud Tellier and Joris Dierckx, regional head of Southeast Asia at BNP Paribas.
Bregman is currently head of investment services Asia. His role will be succeeded by Shafali Sachdev, who is currently head of fixed income, currencies and commodities (FICC) Asia. She will join the French private bank’s APAC management committee and report to Tellier as well as Anne-Cecile Lugagne Delpon, head of investment services.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas Wealth Management in 2017, Sachdev held multiple FICC roles at Citi and Bank of America across global markets and wealth management.
Southeast Asia
In addition, BNP Paribas Wealth Management also named Alison Lim to the expanded role of market head Southeast Asia and David Lim as executive vice chairman Southeast Asia – a newly created role – reporting to Bregman and Tellier, respectively.
All the appointments are effective on September 1 and based in Singapore. When contacted, a spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.
