Chinese internet trading firm Tiger Brokers has announced the appointment of a chief executive officer for its Singapore unit.
Tiger Brokers (Singapore) appoints Ian Leong as CEO, according to a statement, replacing Eng Thiam Choon who left the firm in June this year.
Leong has 13 years of experience in the financial sector and he rejoins Tiger Brokers (Singapore) after previously serving as business development director for the retail segment between April 2020 and September 2021. Prior the the latest appointment, he also worked at uSMART Singapore, Lim & Tan Securities and Phillip Securities (Singapore).
Established in 2014, Tiger Brokers is a Nasdaq-listed internet brokerage firm. It was founded by Wu Tianhua who previously worked at Youdao – the search engine of Chinese tech firm NetEase – for eight years.
