The investor services unit of Japan’s Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group has established a new operational center in Malaysia and appointed a head for the country.
MUFG Investor Services has launched a new operational center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, according to a statement. The center will provide a full range of fund accounting, administration and asset services, supporting clients in Asia and across the firm’s 16 locations.
In addition, Puneet Gupta has been appointed managing director and head of Malaysia. Gupta has more than 20 years of experience in operations management and was most recently director of global business services at Kimberly Clark, a US consumer company focused on paper-based care products like Kleenex tissues.
