Johor Bahru’s data center market has become a prime destination for hyperscalers, offering scalable power, strategic connectivity within Southeast Asia.
Stack Infrastructure, a Denver-based digital infrastructure provider, announced its expansion into Malaysia on Tuesday. The company’s new 220MW campus in Johor Bahru’s Iskandar Puteri marks its entry into Southeast Asia’s largest market, addressing the region’s growing demand for hyperscale digital infrastructure.
Johor’s data center market has become a prime destination for hyperscalers, offering scalable power, strategic connectivity within Southeast Asia, government-backed incentives, and cost-effective operations. Stack's flagship 220MW Johor Bahru campus, spanning 10.8 hectares, will include two facilities totaling 1 million square feet, specifically designed to support cloud computing and AI/ML workloads.
Rapidly Expanding Data Center Market
The campus is slated for initial delivery in Q4 2026 and will leverage Tenaga Nasional Berhad's (TNB) 275kV power infrastructure, supported by an on-site substation, ensuring scalable and reliable energy to accommodate sustained growth.
