Toronto-headquartered insurer Sun Life has announced the appointment of a president for its Asia unit.
Sun Life Asia appoints Manjit Singh as president based in Hong Kong, according to a statement, effective 18 March 2024. He succeeds Ingrid Johnson, who has taken on the newly created role of vice-chair, strategic partnerships for Sun Life globally.
Singh joined Sun Life three years ago and is currently executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) at the Canadian insurer. A search to find his successor as CFO is underway.
Headquartered in Toronto, Sun Life is a financial group with businesses across asset management, wealth management and insurance. Within Asia, it is focused on life, health and wealth management in eight markets: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.
