British insurer Prudential has announced changes to its board, including the appointment of a 30-year Asia veteran as a non-executive director.
Prudential appoints Mark Saunders as non-executive director as well as member of the audit and risk committees, according to a statement, effective April 1.
Saunders has 35 years of experience, including 30 years in Hong Kong. He served on the executive committee of AIA as chief strategy and corporate development officer from 2014 to 2022. Previously, he also worked at Tillinghast (now Willis Towers Watson) for 16 years.
Audit, Remuneration Committees
Jeanette Wong has been named as audit committee chair, effective March 20. She succeeds David Law, who will retire from the board on May 23 after the annual general meeting. Law has been a board member since September 2015 and audit committee chair since May 2017. Wong has been a member of the audit committee since joining the board in May 2021.
Prudential chair Shriti Vadera will also join the remuneration committee as a member after the annual general meeting.
