The asset management arm of Prudential Financial has hired an ex-Morgan Stanley Investment Management executive for an institutional role in Australia and New Zealand.
PGIM has appointed Chris Briant as head of the institutional relationship group (IRG) for Australia and New Zealand, according to a statement, reporting to global head of IRG Cameron Lochhead. In the role, he will act as a strategic advisor to chief investment officers of institutional investors in Australia and New Zealand while leveraging the firm’s multi-affiliate investment capabilities across public and private markets.
Briant was most recently a managing director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management after joining its subsidiary Parametric Portfolio Associates as its first Australasian CEO in 2013. Previously, he also worked at Russell Investments, BNP Paribas and BT Portfolio Services.
