New York-based alternatives manager Blue Owl Capital has hired a former Fidelity executive to lead its private wealth business in Asia Pacific.
Blue Owl Capital has hired Johann Santer as managing director and head of APAC private wealth, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Sean Connor, president and CEO of global private wealth.
Santer previously worked at Fidelity International as regional lead for wholesale as well as head of private banking, wealth and strategic clients. Prior to that, he worked at Julius Baer as managing director and head of investment specialist, funds Hong Kong.
Local Presence
Blue Owl established its APAC wealth presence in 2021 and partnered with industry players in the region across its three investment platforms: credit, GP strategic capital, and real estate.
Globally, it serves 100,000 clients and as of March 31, it had over $174 billion in assets under management.
