To further liberalize access to alternatives, iCapital has launched a digital marketplace for wealth managers in Hong Kong and Singapore.
iCapital has launched a platform for alternatives access in Hong Kong and Singapore, according to a statement. Entitled iCapital Marketplace, the platform will connect wealth managers, financial advisors and their clients with a broad selection of alternative investment opportunities across private equity, private debt, infrastructure, real assets and hedge funds from leading asset managers.
«Investors in Asia and the rest of the world are increasingly interested in how private markets can offer enhanced diversification and potentially superior returns for their portfolios, while asset managers seek to diversify their fundraising across the growing wealth management channel,» said Marco Bizzozero, head of international at iCapital.
Platform Capabilities
iCapital Marketplace will deliver an all-digital investment experience that eliminates complexities such as lack of institutional-quality opportunities, manual and paper-based subscription processes, cumbersome client support through the investment lifecycle and limited availability of advisor education. The platform also features research and educational tools such as due diligence reports, market insights, webinars and training modules.
«iCapital continues to break down historical barriers to alternative investing for wealth managers and their clients,» added head of Asia and head of client solutions APAC Edwin Chan.
