Prudential’s Asia asset management arm, Eastspring Investments, has announced the appointment of a Malaysia CEO.
Eastspring Investments has appointed Yap Siok Hoon as the CEO of its Malaysia business, according to a statement, reporting to deputy regional CEO Faizal Gaffoor. Yap has more than 26 years of experience in the financial sector. She first joined Eastspring in 2013 and was most recently the head of distribution at its Malaysia unit. Previously, she also worked at Hong Leong Asset Management.
«[Yap] has strengthened our local institutional business and grew our distribution channels to expand customer reach,» commented Eastspring CEO Bill Maldonado. «Her focus on customer centricity, determination in delivering excellence as well as her close engagement with local industry bodies position her well to lead our Malaysian business.»
