Chicago-headquartered real estate firm JLL has announced the appointment of a new CEO for China.

JLL has promoted Anny Zhang as CEO, China, according to a statement, effective September 1. Based in Shanghai, she will lead the firm’s business in mainland China and be responsible for growth, operations, client relationships and market position.

Zhang first joined JLL as a manager in 2007 before taking on more senior roles. She became managing director, East China in 2021 and head of the China leasing business in 2023. 

Expanded Role

In addition, Alex Barnes, currently managing director, Hong Kong and Macau, will take on further responsibility for JLL Taiwan.
