Wealth management veteran and former Hong Kong CEO of EFG has retired after a 37-year career.
Kees Stoute is retiring from EFG as regional private banking chief operating officer, according to a social media post.
«After 10 exemplary years of service, Kees has decided to embark on a new chapter in his life,» said the post by David Louie, EFG Bank’s Hong Kong CEO and North Asia head, which included photos of a retirement celebration party. «We will miss him, his calm demeanor, and his ability to bring out the best in everyone he worked with.»
37-Year Career
Stoute is a wealth management veteran with 37 years of industry experience. He was previously EFG’s Hong Kong CEO, before being succeeded by Louie. Prior to that, he worked at various related companies including private banking consultancy firm Sonam, high net worth wealth manager Dryden and Fortis Bank.
He first began his career as a business analyst at IT services company Volmac, which was acquired by Capgemini.
