New York-based investment firm Hunter Point Capital has added former executives from Carlyle and Credit Suisse Asset Management to its Asia business. 

Hunter Point Capital (HPC) has appointed SD Chu as managing director, Singapore and Akira Takahashias senior advisor, Japan, according to a statement. 

Chu has over 30 years of experience in fundraising at firms like Carlyle, where he was most recently a senior relationship manager working with Korean institutional investors. Takahashi has more than four decades of experience and previously built and managed Credit Suisse Asset Management in Japan for 20 years. 

Asia Expansion

Moving forward, HPC will continue expanding its team in Asia to better serve general partners with a strategic need for partnership and strengthen relationships in the region.
