Indosuez Wealth Management has ushered in new leadership for its Asia operations, naming a new CEO who will also take on the role of Singapore Branch Manager, following the departure of Omar Shokur.
Indosuez Wealth Management (Indosuez), the wealth management brand of Crédit Agricole Group, announced on Wednesday the appointment of Laurent Proutière as CEO Asia and Singapore Branch Manager, effective 1 March 2025 – subject to regulatory approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Based in Singapore, he will drive the firm’s strategic growth and development strategy across Asia, further reinforcing the bank’s presence in the region. He will report to Isabelle Jacob-Nebout, Head of Wealth Management, CA Indosuez (Switzerland).
Close to 30 Years of Experience
He succeeds Omar Shokur who will pursue professional opportunities outside of the Crédit Agricole Group after more than two decades with the Group, as finews.asia also reported.
Proutière brings close to 30 years of experience gained in Europe and Asia across the financial services industry, of which more than 20 years were in Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB).
Banking Career Since 1998
His most recent role before being appointed Asia CEO of Indosuez was Head of International Trade and Transaction Banking for Asia-Pacific at Crédit Agricole CIB. Prior to that, he was CEO for Crédit Agricole CIB Taipei Branch.
He began his career in 1998 working for the Equity Brokerage Division of Société Générale in Japan before joining Crédit Agricole Group in 2002. He joined the Credit Derivatives teams in London in 2007, and later the Asia Loan Syndication team in Hong Kong in 2012.
