Chicago-headquartered Northern Trust has announced the appointment of two key executives in Singapore.

Northern Trust has appointed Kai Jebens as head of client development, Southeast Asia, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, he will be responsible for driving the growth of the firm’s custody, fund accounting, data and digital services while leading business development efforts, collaborating closely with leading sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, asset managers and consultants across the region. 

Jebens has experience in driving strategic growth in APAC and previously worked at Collibra, BNY Mellon, Fidelity National Information Services, Intercontinental Exchange and Bloomberg.

In addition, the firm has also hired Chris Vera as senior digital solutions consultant, APAC for the asset servicing business. He has 20 years of experience across investment data, technology, operations and consulting. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Vera held senior positions at BlackRock, AIA, BNY Mellon and a sovereign wealth fund in Singapore.
