Tokyo-based Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation has appointed a head of transaction banking product for Asia Pacific.
SMBC has appointed Atul Bhuchar as head of transaction banking product, Asia Pacific division, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, he reports to Shinichiro Yamazaki, head of global transaction banking department, Asia Pacific division.
Bhuchar has over 27 years of banking experience, most recently as head of product at Partior, a blockchain joint venture by Temasek, DBS, J.P. Morgan and Standard Chartered. Previously, he worked at DBS, HSBC and Citibank.
